Works at the chute. With no signal.
Record every head as it comes through, weight and all. It syncs when you get back in range.
Running on 8 ranches today.
One of them is ours. Every part of this got built because something on that place kept going wrong and nothing we could buy fixed it.
Load the work list at the house. Work it in the pens.
Pull the set up before you leave and the whole thing travels with you: every animal on the list, every product you plan to give, every label dose. The chute screen keeps working with the phone in airplane mode.
When it finds a signal again the morning's work goes up on its own. Nothing sits waiting for you to remember it that night.

One screen holds the whole animal.
Weight at the top, because that is the number everything else is calculated from. Pair a Tru-Test S3 over Bluetooth and it lands in the box as the animal settles. Type it in instead, or bring it in from a CSV, and the rest of the screen behaves the same way.
Under it, the products this session is giving, one tap each. Tap one and the dose is worked out from this animal's own weight, with the route the label calls for and the day the meat hold clears.

What the label says
Every product carries its dose per hundredweight, its route, and how long the meat and the milk are held. Give one at the chute and the hold is counted from that animal's weight and today's date. Anything inside a hold shows on the dashboard under Cannot sell with the day it clears.
And what it does not
Every seeded product is flagged Check the bottle until you confirm it against the one in your hand. Concentrations differ between products with nearly the same name, and labels get revised. Headgate will do the arithmetic. It will not tell you it read your bottle.
The rest of it.
Same records, read six different ways.

Get it on the iPhone
Headgate installs to the Home Screen straight from Safari, and that is how most people run it: full screen, no browser bars, offline at the chute.
There is a real iOS build as well, and it is honest to say where it stands. It is on TestFlight now. It is not in the App Store yet. Bluetooth scale support needs that build, or Chrome on Android. Write to us if you want to be on the test.
